Soldering robot and difference from wave soldering
For the replacement of manual welding stations, the currently available automatic equipment on the market includes selective wave soldering and soldering robots. Selective wave soldering is a special type of wave soldering. It is mainly used for through-hole components and selectively sets solder joints to meet production requirements. The characteristics of selective wave soldering determine the precision of the equipment requirements, so there are only a few options available on the market that are truly stable and available, and are expensive. Soldering robots work in the opposite way to selective wave soldering. For through-hole inserts, after fixing the product with the fixture, the pins are up and soldered from above.
pros and cons
The operation of the soldering robot determines its greatest advantage. The welding products have the same solder joints and good quality stability. At the same time, for many products, the efficiency of one person operating a single device can reach the multi-person efficiency of manual welding, and has the advantage of improving efficiency. (For some complex, not fixed products, the efficiency improvement is not obvious).
